The macro, as presented, is useful only as a WBS component inside the original Caravel. How about using it with Caravel OpenFrame? or using it as a bus component on any other bus type like AMBA buses: AHB/AHBL/AXI4/....

There's no requirement on the bus used, the wishbone bus wrapper is soft and users don't have to use it.
