Filtering data by start/end_date

Hello!
I'm wondering why the .all() method of ScalarRequestCore doesn't have a date filtering based on start/end_date implemented yet, since that there is a TODO with the code already there. Does it brake the the rest of the code somewhere? Can I help in any way to implement this feature?
On a similar note I couldn't find anything referencing the fact that one cannot get time series from RADOLAN based on the start/end_date. Did I miss something or is it not implemented yet?

About the filtering:
I had originally applied a station filter based on the requested start and end date. However I later on had two concerns, which made me swing back: First is that the actual given start and end date in the station listing is only sometimes given (for example by DWD) and may not account for single parameters but rather for the entire dataset (e.g. if the set contains temperature data, that may be the oldest parameter but later on after several decades, other parameters may be added to the dataset which do not account for the entire date range) so the filter is not really accurate and second I decided I wanted to provide equal results for stations that are in the listing.

What's your opinion about this topic?

About radar:
The radar API is currently intended to only be used to get the data and start and end date refer to the different radar records. However if you are interested in a derived time series, you may check out the wradlib docs [1] and especially the xarray backend. You would only have to manage to get a certain cell that matches your latitude-longitude pair. Would you be interested to implement such thing? We may also create another Radolan class for querying lat-lon pairs and getting a related time series.

Thanks for the fast and detailed response.
About the filtering, now I see the complication and I would maybe have to do a bit more research before giving my opinion.
Regarding the radar, I think it would be a very useful feature to have so I would love to help. I will try to familiarize myself further with what is necessary to do to make it happen.
