Description
I planned to export the aerodynamic data from the static analysis for modeling. However, when I returned to the game to verify it, I found that the static-analysis data differed significantly from the parameters provided during actual flight. The lift coefficient from the static analysis was noticeably higher, and the aircraft’s reference area was also different from what was shown in flight.
I can guarantee that the aircraft in flight was exactly the same as the one in the SPH, and when I took the screenshots I had not retracted landing gear or deployed flaps, and there was no input in pitch or yaw.
The mod is a version modified by Giuliodondi, which added the functionality to export the static analysis data as a CSV file. The game version is 1.12.4.
For example, in the static analysis the lift coefficient at Mach 0.6 and 17° angle of attack is about 0.75, but in flight it is around 0.53. The reference area in the static analysis is 76.7, whereas in flight it is 93.5.
Help. I really want to obtain complete aerodynamic model for this aircraft and be able to predict the aerodynamic forces.Thanks.
