Getting a package adopted... or how to market a package!

This is a bit of show and tell and a question/discussion. I recently started this project on django-prodserver to track/try ideas related to getting the package adopted in the ecosystem.

I figure this something others have done in the past and would be a good reference to have in this organisation as well for newer packages? If you have ideas/comments please do let me know.

@nanorepublica have you considered hosting a show & tell on the Django Discord? You could also record a 5-10 minute video introducing your package. Both of those would generate 2 or 3 pieces of social media content to help keep the package relevant [in the sense of things being currently talked about]. I like that idea! perhaps we/I could do a monthly? package showcase. Either live or pre-recorded videos for folks to come watch and come ask questions.
