Formatting problem in image captions

Since updating to WP6.7 and the Twenty Twenty theme to the latest version, a carriage return is being inserted prior to each footnote if the footnotes are inserted into image captions.

I've discovered this is not occurring if images are centred, but is if images are 'wide' or 'full width'.
