Rethink the lyrics feature as lyrics provided are now almost inexistent

• Should I add support for paid provides like musixmatch and allow users to purchase a license and add it to Dopamine?
• Or should I focus on making offline lyrics support amazing?

Thank you for Dopamine!

Please keep support for offline / locally stored lyrics-files.
At present I am using Dopamine 2 (Windows 10) to play speech-files and have the lyrics turned on.
Text-files are converted by TTS software "Balabolka", which allows the creation of ".lrc" synchronized lyrics-files encoded in UTF-8 format.

i noticed that you get trouble to show automatic lyrics in the issues #966

@webangel3 I'm afraid lyrics sites are closing one by one. This is part of the problem you are experiencing. Either that, of the lyrics site does not have lyrics for the songs you are requesting. There is nothing I can do about this unfortunately. Getting lyrics for free is almost impossible currently. I'll have to rethink the lyrics feature in Dopamine. That, however will be work for another issue. I'm closing this one.

i try the mpetag script from genius but i get a lot of trouble because the script has some issues with feat. & artis and fidn no lyrics at genuis.com .

maybe you can use this code and add an option to selcect

1. at every new dopamine start or
2. if you add or change a library folder lrcget scan this folder to find and dowlaod missing lyrics

To clarify: My remark concerns locally stored "offline". lrc files. The. lrc and. mp3 files are provided by the txt to speech tool Balabolka. It works perfectly with Dopamine 2, but not with Dopamine 3 on my Windows 10 PC. Regards Tom
