Playlists causing freezing in Linux

I recently switched from Windows to Linux and installed Dopamine.

I created one playlist for my five star songs (no dynamic playlists in Dopamine 3? Is that coming later?). It contains about 500 tracks.

Every time I switch over to the Playlists tabs, the app stutters for about 30 seconds. One time it just froze the program. Something seems a bit off there.

I'm running Debian (specifically Kubuntu 24.04)

Hi @bprichard, thank you for logging this issue. In Windows, were you using Dopamine 2 or 3?

Smart playlists are currently in development for Dopamine 3 an will be available in v3.0.3 which is next. I'll investigate this issue in parallel. I suspect it happens because the playlist file is being read out when the playlist screen loads. I'll have to add some optimizations.
