gedit-selection-character-count-plugin

What it does?

Displays character count of selected text in the status bar.

Installation

1. Clone or unzip github repo to ~/.local/share/gedit/plugins/ (Create it if it doesn't exist).
2. Open gedit and go to preferences.
3. Under Plugins tab enable Selection Character Count.
