styling: pdf items in chat should use the same carousel as ecommerce

Description

Most of the work is done on drewh/pdf-carousel but since the PdfItem component relies on rendering null when a match isn't found, that state doesn't propagate up to the parent (the carousel) so we are left with weird empty divs.
