PR Summary: Multi-Stream Integration Tests

Changes Made

New Integration Tests (2)

Added comprehensive tests to verify multi-stream functionality in contracts/stream/tests/integration_suite.rs:

1. integration_same_sender_multiple_streams

Tests sender creating streams to different recipients:

  • Stream 0: → recipient (1000 tokens, 1 token/sec, 0-1000s)
  • Stream 1: → recipient2 (2000 tokens, 2 tokens/sec, 0-1000s)
  • Stream 2: → recipient (500 tokens, 1 token/sec, 0-500s)

Validates:

  • ✅ Distinct stream IDs (0, 1, 2) returned
  • ✅ Each stream maintains independent state
  • get_stream_state() returns correct metadata per ID
  • ✅ Independent withdrawals don't interfere
  • ✅ Token balances correctly managed
  • ✅ Final totals: recipient (1500), recipient2 (2000), sender (6500)

2. integration_same_sender_same_recipient_multiple_streams (Edge Case)

Tests sender creating streams to same recipient (critical case):

  • Stream 0: → recipient (1000 tokens, 0-1000s)
  • Stream 1: → recipient (1000 tokens, 0-1000s)
  • Stream 2: → recipient (500 tokens, 0-500s)

Validates:

  • ✅ Unique stream IDs despite identical recipient
  • ✅ State completely isolated per stream_id
  • ✅ Each stream tracked independently
  • ✅ Recipient receives correct totals from all streams
  • ✅ Final total: recipient (2500 tokens from 3 streams)

Documentation

Added MULTIPLE_STREAMS_TESTS.md with:

  • Detailed test purposes and scenarios
  • Comprehensive assertion lists
  • Security considerations
  • Edge cases covered
  • All assertions verified

Test Results

running 27 tests

✅ All 27 tests PASS (25 existing + 2 new)
   - 25 pre-existing tests: PASS (no regressions)
   - 2 new multi-stream tests: PASS

test result: ok. 27 passed; 0 failed

Key Verifications

Distinct Stream IDs: Same sender gets unique IDs (0, 1, 2) ✅ State Isolation: Each stream independent in persistent storage ✅ Metadata Accuracy: get_stream_state() returns correct data per ID ✅ Independent Withdrawals: Withdrawing from stream N doesn't affect stream M ✅ Different Recipients: Multiple recipients handled correctly ✅ Same Recipient Edge Case: Streams with identical recipient remain isolated ✅ Different Parameters: Each stream can have unique rates and durations ✅ Token Safety: All balances correct, conservation verified ✅ Status Transitions: Each stream completes independently

Implementation Details

What Was Tested

  • Sender creates multiple streams (3 in each test)
  • Multiple withdrawals at different timestamps
  • Independent state tracking per stream_id
  • Token transfers to different and same recipients
  • Stream completion at different times
  • Balance verification across all accounts

What Was Not Broken

  • All 25 existing integration tests still pass
  • No changes to contract code (only tests added)
  • No regressions in functionality
  • Token conservation verified

Files Changed

  • contracts/stream/tests/integration_suite.rs - Added 2 new tests (~400 lines)
  • MULTIPLE_STREAMS_TESTS.md - New documentation

Ready for Review

✅ All tests pass
✅ Edge cases covered
✅ Comprehensive documentation
✅ No regressions
✅ Security verified
