Faster Laravel rsync deployment

Hi,

I'm not sure how rsync deployment is being used by others, but let's assume there is a huge /resources folder (>2GiB).

1. Each deployment requires a re-transfer of this whole /resources folder, which may not have changed much
2. We could use deploy:copy_dir, but that can still be quite slow especially on shared hosting
3. Since we keep only the last X copies, my idea is to rename the oldest release to the name of the new release (instantaneous)
4. Then perform an rsync to sync the differences
5. I understand this will break from the current rollback behavior and I also have not fully considered what to do in case of a failed deployment

But perhaps can build on this idea to speed things up?
