I’d like to request a feature that allows users to prevent certain system UI overlays from being broadcasted to the stream.
Add toggle options to exclude the following overlays from the stream output:
1. “…” (Quick Access) Menu
• When pressing the “…” button, the Steam Deck Quick Access panel appears (Decky plugins, system settings, performance controls, etc.).
• Request: Add a toggle to prevent this panel from being visible on the stream.
2. “Steam” Button Menu
• When pressing the Steam button, the main Steam overlay/menu appears.
• Request: Add a separate toggle to prevent this UI from being broadcasted.
Why This Would Help
These overlays are useful locally but often unnecessary or distracting for viewers. In some cases, users may not want to expose plugin lists, system settings, or other UI elements during a live broadcast.
Ideally:
• Each overlay would have its own on/off toggle.
• Default behavior could remain unchanged to preserve current functionality.
This would give streamers more control over what viewers see while keeping full functionality on the device itself.
