Low priority but the thought occurred to me it may be fun to add a Mode X mode (a lesser known mode from the 90s days I was recently reminded of), maybe with a simple command line parameter maybe --modex (and/or --320x240) then it goes 320x240 to give you a retro Mode X experience:

Gameplay could be kept very close, and it's debatable or arguable if the actual gameplay area should remain identical or you get a few extra blocks visible vertically. This may be a better aspect ratio for some situations/platforms, not sure.
