We're excited to share the latest releases, feature enhancements, tweaks, and infrastructure improvements across our services. Here's what's new:

New features for organization-level reporting in DataCite Commons

• We introduced several enhancements to DataCite Commons that expand organizational reporting possibilities within DataCite. Explore works connected to an organization by relationship type, including works by affiliated researchers, works created or published by an organization, and works funded by an organization and its institutes, units, programs, and more. Create customizable dashboards with citation, view, and download metrics for institutional reporting and analysis. Learn more about these new features.

DataCite partners with Digital Science to host the DataCite Public Data File on Google BigQuery

• DataCite’s public data file is now available in the Dimensions BigQuery Lab through a partnership with DigitalScience. Read our blog, explore and analyze metadata for more than 100 million research outputs and resources—open by default and free to access on Google BigQuery.

Tweaks and infrastructure improvements

• DataCite Commons now features a “Repository” facet to facilitate the analysis of works according to the DataCite repository that holds them. Find this new facet on any page that displays a list of works, like works searches and organization pages.
• We implemented a series of tweaks to enhance the reliability of the monthly data file.
• We completed several optimizations to the way we store metadata in our systems to support a growing DataCite Metadata Store.
• We updated several key components of our infrastructure, like OpenSearch and the DataCite REST API, to ensure stability and security.
