Thanks @pjhudgins for including LifeOS. One caveat for the analysis: the public repo is generated from a private tree at each release, so its history shows changes in release-sized batches, and the reasons behind them mostly aren't in the public commits. |

Hi LifeOS community,
LifeOS’s combination of persistent context, reusable skills, and self-improvement makes it a valuable case for studying how agent systems grow through experience.
I’ve included it in Convergent Properties of Evolving Multiagent Institutions, a draft analysis of 15 systems’ growth trajectories through their code, documentation, and recorded history. It traces how independently developed projects find solutions to recurring problems in learning, verification, coordination, and recovery.
[Insert growth trajectories graphic here]
The index tracks each system’s development over time; it does not rank projects by capability or quality.
Here are the LifeOS assessment and cited findings. Public repository evidence captures only part of the story, so feedback from maintainers and users would help:
These systems could also learn from analyzing each other’s repositories: tracing failures, examining the resulting fixes, and testing whether those lessons transfer. The findings ledgers offer starting points for that exchange.
