CODEOWNERS is a useful ownership boundary. It does not answer every review question.
Generated files, overlapping patterns, unsupported syntax, missing permissions, several matching teams — any of those can change what an approval means.
What CODEOWNERS edge case has caused the most confusion in your repo? A small fixture or a GitHub-docs link is more useful than a general opinion.
