I investigated this issue and found that the search index currently includes all apps, including inactive ones.

However, the detail view requires active=True, which causes search results to sometimes link to 404 pages.

I implemented a fix by overriding index_queryset() in AppIndex to restrict indexing to active apps only.

This also includes a regression test to ensure that only active apps are indexed.

I investigated the issue and found that inactive apps were being included in the search index, while the detail view only allows active=True, which caused the 404 results.

I’ve opened PR #125 to update AppIndex so only active apps are indexed.
