Installed in vscode (macos arm64) but it doesn't open

I've just installed this extension, with no errors.
However, when i try to open a mid file, I continue to get "The file is not displayed in the text editor because it is either binary or uses an unsupported text encoding."
Am I missing something?

I'm in macos arm64 Tahoe 26.2.
