Automatic database backup failure notifications/automatic retry

Due to an issue with the backup service our automated backup for our production environment failed over night (2024-12-18 01:01:45)

This potentially highlights a few areas:

1. An alert if an automatic database backup fails, without being subscribed to the Craft CMS status page or specifically looking at Craft Console, I would not have known this and our production environment left with a backup older than 24 hours.
2. An automatic retry process if an automated backup fails on the initial scheduled run.
3. The ability to increase the frequency of backups lower than 24 hours.

In addition if increasing the backup frequency is something that is considered in the future. To help with sustainability and storage space, gzip can be used to compress backups, it is pretty easy to do with MySQL, I don't know about PosgreSQL.

Many tools can handle direct .sql.gz restores without extraction, I believe DDEV also support it.
