Outlandish would quite like to add a 'skills finder' (previously inaccurately referred to as 'jobs board'). Essentially it would list all the individual members of CoTech and list their skills and experience. We think it would be useful for finding co-ops to collaborate with, winning work by showing our diverse expertise, making it clearer who we are and what we do, etc.
Obviously before adding anything to the site we'd want to check with everyone that they agreed it was a good idea. We're currently doing some wireframes of what it might look like and @bradleyreeder and @jenspencer are going to be getting in contact with everyone to find out if they like the idea, what would make it better, etc
@chrislo, this would be cool and useful. I followed along into the Loomio thread and the Discourse thread as well but didn't find any signs of any mockups. Do you have any idea of any design that might get us moving along on this?
@lwm no, I'm afraid I don't have any - I just created this issue as a placeholder so the discussion wouldn't get lost. I have a feeling @harryrobbins might have arranged for some work to be done on this though.
You can tag them with 'technologies' and 'services' and (if you're feeling advanced, assign 'experience points' which are a relative weighting of your various skills - e.g. if you do ten times more programming that project management put "10" experience for the former and "1" for the latter (it's a ratio, so 100:10 = 10:1).
Once you've entered the skills you can see a listing of them all here: https://www.coops.tech/people
You can also see data at the co-op level here: https://www.coops.tech/coops
It's a bit of a hack and there is no way to view an individual person right now.
