Any way to suppress fields from Keyword Search? (_ls Linked Search)?

I'm using Linked Search across a number of table views, and it works very well - perhaps a bit too well as its finding things in fields that I don't want to find them in. Is there any way in either KTL or in Knack to exclude fields from keyword search? I need them visible in the results grid, but I don't want them searched for the keyword. Sort of like _nf is no filter, I need a _ns no search keyword ... or something like it.
