Well then this is exactly a problem because rosetta only works there with the newer linux kernels. I don't think we have a plan to enable rosetta again anytime soon. Given apple doesn't seem to care enough I rather not go down there again just for the next update to break it again. Also in that regard we switch the default in 6.0 to libkrun which doesn't support rosetta at all so it seem of little value to me to have that enabled by default with applehv. cc @baude |

Apple fixed rosetta in Tahoe. I have verified that. It was not re-enabled in 5.7 because the predominant operating system in use is sequoa where apple declined to fix this problem. if you are using the older os AND you really, really need rosetta, consider using an older version of podman. as @Luap99 points out, this is really out of our control. and for the record, if you are using tahoe, you just need to enable.
