Today I stumbled over your plugin and was happy to have found it, as I have been looking for something like this for some time.
I soon noticed though, that the modal indicators the vimrc plugin has (in form of different colored emoji) break after toggling once with your plugin. The only thing that restored functionality for me was restarting Obsidian. After launching a new instance of Obsidian the indicator works again flawlessly - until toggling again at which point it gets stuck in 'normal mode' forever. I will attach a screenshot so that you know what I'm talking about. I am on Arch Linux btw.
Would be great if you'd be able to fix this as it's really a useful plugin!
