It may require more work, cause of planning, and maybe more clients or more expensive ones.

I think the most advantage of the teamwork is capability of working faster on more expensive projects

well if you work together you can handle peaks and lows better because you can distribute them over the people you collaborate with.
and you share experience, learn from each other
if you're working alone you're pretty much stuck I guess
