Hello,

Unit test test-particleLevel_fromMiniAod (module GeneratorInterface/RivetInterface) failed for el8_amd64_gcc12 with:

The MCnet usage guidelines apply to Rivet: see http://www.montecarlonet.org/GUIDELINES
Please acknowledge Rivet in results made using it, and cite https://arxiv.org/abs/1912.05451
<TROOT::WriteTObject>: The current directory (root) is not associated with a file. The object (732AB104451EF04E87C0A4140895DF8C) has not been written.

Fatal system signal has occurred during exit

/bin/sh: line 1: 2493135 Aborted timeout 3600 sh -c 'cmsRun /data/cmsbld/jenkins/workspace/ib-run-qa/CMSSW_14_1_X_2024-07-21-0000/src/GeneratorInterface/RivetInterface/test/particleLevel_cfg.py'

It was failing before also for DEFAULT el8_aarch64_gcc12 and MULTIARCH IBs potentially due to updates for Rivet 4 (See #44603). The issue was reported as a comment (#44603 (comment)), but I am opening an issue since it failed also for production architecture in CMSSW_14_1_X_2024-07-20-1100 and CMSSW_14_1_X_2024-07-21-0000.

Thanks,
Andrea
