I tested this and it worked but seemed to really slow things down (I think this was the cause). If someone wants to investigate morning, turning back on the router (commented out still) for cabal/:key/:channel should work still.

Ah, gotcha! Great, thanks -- will be fun to experiment and learn more about how the underlying machinery works.
