[feature] Gemini CLI maintenance support as Google is officially transitioning to Antigravity CLI

Preconditions

• This request focuses on user value, not just implementation details.

Problem Statement

Google is officially transitioning Gemini CLI to Antigravity CLI. Their announcement says they are “unifying” efforts into Google Antigravity and Antigravity CLI, with Antigravity CLI sharing the same agent harness as Antigravity 2.0.

But this is not a full universal shutdown. Google says enterprise access remains unchanged for Gemini Code Assist Standard / Enterprise customers, and Gemini CLI remains accessible via paid Gemini and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform API keys.

Proposed Solution

Do not keep marketing aisw as equally centered on “Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI.” Current docs and README still position all three as equally supported tools, but that should change in the next release or immediately after the context release.

Move it to Legacy / maintenance support

Antigravity CLI:   New Google adapter, experimental first
Claude Code:       Active support
Codex CLI:         Active support

Can this tool switch accounts or just api?

Hi burakdede, That really was a huge help.

Previously, many projects could only manage accounts for a single agent, but this project being able to manage multiple agents is very exciting. Of course, the adaptation of agy in this issue is the same.

But now, when I tried using multiple Gemini CLI accounts, I got these prompts, but I didn't see a Google account log in. How do I switch to Gemini CLI?

thanks for reporting, quite possible it is broken after recent reliability changes sprint I have done.

Gemini CLI is harder deal with because its OAuth flow is a real interactive TUI, not just a clean credential handoff. (claude/codex are easier in that regard)

I will take a look & see what's broken - in the meantime if you can open new issue dedicated to this, it would be easier for us to track progress.

@chan-yuu this is now fixed and merged to main branch, it will be available in the next version release. I am keeping this issue open since it is about the future support for gemini-cli.
