Migration to a new version maintained under Ubuntu 25.10

I am experiencing issues as mentioned in posts over 15 days ago (#2334)
I believe this is because I am using an older version, Faltpak 0.10.3.

How can I obtain a version for Ubuntu 25.10 that is updated regularly?
And, most importantly, how can I easily migrate the settings and data?

The Borgbase team, to which I have a paid subscription, asked me to post here, but I haven't received any support for several weeks, even though I've been having recurring backup issues with Vorta for several weeks.
Am I in the wrong thread? Is this an expert issue?

Hi HD! Please note that Vorta is an open source project and we don't sell subscriptions to it or provide support for it on a commercial basis. Most work here is done by volunteers in their free time, so it won't be right away.

Thank you for responding, even if it was just that, because I was unsure and wondering if there were any users.
I was hoping to resolve this issue, which was a major security concern for me with Borbase, but I didn't get any help with that.
I am familiar with the open source community, where I have contributed at my level to the Joomla CM

The Flatpak build is sometimes a few days behind the schedule.
I just checked and the current Flatpak version of Vorta is 0.11.2 - which is the latest version of Vorta currently available. (as of Jan. 2026)
Note that normally there is no problem being a couple of days or weeks behind the release schedule. Some might even consider this to be best-practice. ;-)

If you just upgrade to newer Version of Vorta, the settings should be migrated automatically. If this does not work, you should open a bug report.

If you want to migrate your Vorta settings to a new computer / or if you reinstall your OS, you should export your profiles and re-import them on the new machine.
Check the documentation for how-to export/ import profiles.

Make sure you have all required information to access your backups from the new machine. Depending on your setup, you need the ssh-keys and repo-passphrase - just in case you should also know the server-address, server password, name of the repository.
