Sorry to hear that this is the impression that you get but development is actually quite active and @VandalByte has been working on it for several months now during his Google Summer of Code internship. You can look at recent commits here: https://github.com/borgbase/vorta/commits/master/. Some PRs are still due to be merged, which is on me to review them. I'm hoping to do a new release soon. If you encounter any specific issues, you could submit a PR so it can be improved. Open source means maintenance and bugs are up to every user, else it would be paid software. I do regard Vorta as feature complete and new features would need to be very useful for many users to be added. Hope this explains the situation better. |

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
Been using it since 2019. I recenty had to re-do my mac from scratch and while setting up (still in the process) I realised Vorta is pretty much where it was last year and then I indeed see there has been no released since last year and almost no commits either.
Vorta seems actually unstable, getting stuck/hung on almost any action is routine. I had exported JSON from last installation before proceeding to reinstall mac and when I tried to import the json by making some changes (e.g I am using a new repo and new setup except old sources, exclusions and other settings) - it never worked, kept failing. When I left the entire json intact then it just set old "created at" and other values like size etc from the old json even before Vorta could connect to remote repo even once. It also threw error on not finding json nodes like WifiSettingModel which I find quite very odd. I never remember ever giving or setting permissions in Vorta to use a certain WiFi or not then why would it keep those values in export and then would expect it back.
After Vorta kinda became the front runner GUI for Borg pretty much nothing else took off of for regular users :)
If it's indeed kinda abandoned then thank you for everything and it was good (or going towards being really good) while it lasted.
