No validated internet connectivity I am using a local network with no internet. I can set up and connect to the server but that is it. Is not creating a calendar that I can find with etar or fossify calendar. Decsync creates them fine. -- |

Hi, have you tried the VPN connectivity option in the account settings? |

You probably already know this, but while we would like to support syncing without a validated internet connection, the problem is that we would need to wake up the system to make a connectivitiy check ourselves, eventually draining battery unnecessarily. Usually people can sync with their own server in their own LAN just fine, when they allow their phone to reach the internet. It's true that we could support this special use case with an extra setting, which when enabled, would allow synchronization without validated internet. It's not planned at the moment however. Please also see @rfc2822 answer in this discussion: #363 (reply in thread) |

All said - we'd like to support it (#990), but it's not supported at the moment and there's no specific time when we have this ready. So make sure there's a validated Internet connection until then (or provide a good PR, of course). It's btw mentioned in https://manual.davx5.com/settings.html#synchronization under "VPN", but there should be a better place. |

How about supporting it with manual syncing? Then it will not wake up the device and cause battery drain. And you should change the warning to "we will do nothing without internet validated by google" |
