How to configure Davx5 over adb?

Thank you for your work on this magnificent application!

Context

The DAVx5 manual says the configuration of davdroid can be done using a davdroid-config.json file using either:

• Android Enterprise (recommended)

• network configuration: fixed URL (QR code)

• network configuration: unicast DNS

• network configuration: Zeroconf (DNS-SD)

So in case of the fixed URL, I assume the device goes to the url and then gets and processes that davdroid-config.json file.

Question

How could one feed the DAVx5 app this davdroid-config.json file over adb?

Approach I

I have tried manually creating a valid DAVx5 configuration and searching the device for the configuration values, and I found them in the:

data/data/at.bitfire.davdroid/no_backup/androidx.work.workdb-wal

File, in an encrypted/illegible fashion:

However, I am not able to generate such a file myself, nor is it the condensed davdroid-config.json that DAVx5 expects.

Approach II

Based on this discussion I would expect passing the davdroid-config.json into something like caldavs:// URL would perhaps work. However, I have not yet determined how to pass the json into such an URL, nor what such an URL could be.

Just for information because it hits the topic: The normal DAVx5 can take setup information from an URL, too, for easier setup:

You can simply click an URL for example and DAVx5 will load the information from it into the setup screen.

adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.VIEW -d caldavs://your_username:your_password@your_onion.onion/remote.php/dav/principals/users/your_username

4. Click Create Account.
5. Click set app permissions.

Hey,
Is there any way to run synchronization via adb? Like when you push the button for immediately sync in application

I've tried this:
adb shell am startservice -n at.bitfire.davdroid/.sync.account.AddressBookAuthenticatorService && adb shell am startservice -n at.bitfire.davdroid/.sync.account.AccountAuthenticatorService

but it doesn't work

There's a dynamic shortcut of the AccountsActivity that delivers an "sync all" Intent. You can do the same with

adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.SYNC at.bitfire.davdroid/.ui.AccountsActivity

But this will bring DAVx5 to the foreground and there's no guarantee that this will work forever.
