Google will soon require to migrate to Manifest version 3. The next major version of the extension will be upgraded to Manifest version 3:

Work on this is complete, but Manifest v3 does not support optional_host_permissions yet, so migrating to V3 will remove support for GitHub Enterprise.

Currently waiting for updates from Google's end
