// OLD (Phase 1):

LetterTracingPhase2 uses the same props as Phase 1:
interface LetterTracingProps {
letter: string; // Letter to trace (e.g., 'A')
onComplete: () => void; // Called when tracing is 75% complete
showCelebration: boolean; // Show celebration overlay
}import React, { useState } from 'react';
import { View } from 'react-native';
import LetterTracing from './components/LetterTracingPhase2';
export default function App() {
const [showCelebration, setShowCelebration] = useState(false);
const handleComplete = () => {
setShowCelebration(true);
setTimeout(() => setShowCelebration(false), 2000);
};
return (
<View style={{ flex: 1 }}>
<LetterTracing
letter="A"
onComplete={handleComplete}
showCelebration={showCelebration}
/>
</View>
);
}- Make sure
theme.tshas been updated with new color definitions - Check that LinearGradient is properly configured for rainbow mode
- Ensure all new components are in the
/componentsfolder - Check that Ionicons is installed:
expo install @expo/vector-icons
- Verify collision detection is working
- Check that strokes are being stored with all properties
- Ensure undo/redo stacks are being updated
- Check that coverage recalculation is happening
- History Limit: Default is 20 actions. Adjust
MAX_HISTORYif needed - Eraser Radius: Scales with thickness (2x). Adjust multiplier if needed
- Smooth Path: Maintained from Phase 1 for optimal performance
- Partial Erase: Eraser removes entire strokes, not parts
- Color Gradient: Rainbow uses SVG LinearGradient (web/native compatible)
- History Size: Limited to 20 to prevent memory issues
- Test all features thoroughly
- Customize colors in
ColorPicker.tsxif desired - Adjust thickness options in
ThicknessPicker.tsx - Add keyboard shortcuts for web (undo: Cmd/Ctrl+Z, redo: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z)
If you encounter issues:
- Check the console for errors
- Verify all imports are correct
- Ensure dependencies are installed
- Review

Happy drawing! 🎨✨
