Cannot share beyond one social network

I can't find a way for iBooks Author widgets to open links outside of iBooks. So, if you share something on Twitter, you see their web interface within the widget and can no longer see the Google+ and Facebook interfaces. Not yet sure how to fix. Suggestions welcome.

And widget.openURL(), which is how you would handle this case in a Dashboard widget, doesn't work in iBA:
