It would be interesting to pre-compute the color evolution (r-g) and difference magnitude in each band over the history of the alert:

r-g
g(t=t_last) - g(t=t_last - 1)
g(t=t_last) - g(t=t_first)
r(t=t_last) - r(t=t_last - 1)
r(t=t_last) - r(t=t_first)
