This is the version distributed with all the RedHat8 derivatives, which reach EOL mid 2029.

Support for Python 3.7 was restored, could Python 3.6 be explicit added (using ruff native server)?

It should theoretically be possible to use the native server with Python 3.6, it's just not a workflow that we test. Have you tried running the extension with Python 3.6 and explicitly selecting the native server? Are you running into any limitation or errors?

Note: We don't support linting or formatting Python 3.6 or older code
