In order to transmit signals underwater, we will need to design a somewhat high power amplifier.

Your task is to design an Audio amplifier with 200kHz of bandwidth, capable of delivering up to 2W of power, for driving a piezoelectric transducer.

Tasks:

  • Design output stage. 200kHz, with 2W (or more) of power, for a piezoelectric transducer such as this. Should be selectable across the power range, preferably in 10dB increments.
  • Design input stage. Might be similar to sonar preprocessor, however you will need to take into consideration how piezo transducers may differ from the hydrophones we are using.
