Just wondering, is it not supported yet and not possible with Nav3 or do we not have a recipe available? I cant find much in ways of documentation.

It is still WIP. A recipe for deeplink is planned for stable release.

i was wondering about this too for our app. is there a timeframe known for this? because for now i've got a workaround of which i am not sure if it would be a best practice

What we do currently is this, which works when there are no route parameters involved:

val deepLinksToScreens: Map<String, Screen> = mapOf(
  "sats-dna://components/alert-dialog" to AlertDialogSampleScreen,
  "sats-dna://components/article-card" to ArticleCardSampleScreen,
  "sats-dna://components/badge" to BadgeSampleScreen,

)

And then in our activity:

deepLinksToScreens[intent.dataString]?.let {
    backStack.add(it)
}

For routes with parameters, it gets a little more complicated, but I would look towards something like this:

typealias DeepLinkLookupTable = Map<String, (params: DeepLinkParams) -> Screen>

val deepLinksToScreens: DeepLinkLookupTable = mapOf(
  // ...
)
