No images after install

I've install the CMS but none of the images link are working, maybe and issue with the htaccess ? i'm n a sub-folder in mamp/htpdocs , could it be the problem?

sorry for long delay, just come back from holidays. Have you configured your webserver to point the web folder of your application, as explained here: http://symfony.com/doc/current/cookbook/configuration/web_server_configuration.html ?
