In the past I've accidentally downloaded multiples of the same NBP outputs and while flipping through them I can clearly see different wavy patterns which I assume is the watermark.
Which leads me to believe that the watermark is generated dynamically every time you press the download button - which shouldn't use up your generation quotas, so you might be able to generate way more pure black/white images by redownloading the same output.
But please correct me if I'm wrong. I have multiple pro accounts so I can try to contribute by generating different aspect ratios.
