Detect if the speak module was disabled during the script #7

Hi!
Is there a way to detect, while the script is running, that the activated speech module was disable during the execution and disable it temporarily until the user reactivates it? It all works fine but it crashes the script when, for example, NVDA is turned off. Thanks for your help.
