Save-states not useable?

Ive tried everything i could think of to get them working.
I modified the .ini to use "L2" for Save State and "R3" for Load State, but neither does anything.

Then i tried adding those keys to the regular keys by appending "L2, R2", still couldnt get it to work.

Is there really no way to use save states on Android? Would improve the game a lot for me.

This works for me. At the end of the ini, in the gamepad keys area, i did:
Turbo = L2
Load = L3
Save = R3

and it works. Obviously a single save slot, but it seems to work fine.
