I can't bind my device's B button because it closes the input window.

As the title.
I've attached a video if that helps demonstrate the issue.
See that the "Press any button..." window closes several times, because I'm pressing B on my controller.
Instead of mapping B, it closes the window.
At the end of the video I pressed the A button and that mapped as expected.

I don't need to be able to control the menus with my device's controller, so if there's a way to turn that off, I imagine it'd solve the issue? I don't see an option though.

Try actively holding down the b button before you click the mapping + icon using the touch screen. That worked for me at least. Unfortunately I can't get above 55 FPS using the minimal settings despite having a more than powerful enough device from last year, so it doesn't really matter.
