No audio pop

• [yes] I have checked checked the known issues and searched Github to ensure this issue has not already been reported.

Description of the inaccuracy:

Audio doesn't work and makes a popping sound no matter what my volume is set to and it makes this game unplayable because I don't have any sound ques and I can't listen to the music at all. Idk if this is rated to my device not being compatible with sdl because of so I would like to change the audio plugin.

System Information:

Additional Information:

The popping sound is like an audio glitch that plays randomly and not when there are extra sounds in the game. As in the video you can't hear anything but for some reason my screen recorder doesn't pick up the popping sounds that I hear?

Same issue on my end - I tried using both a .z64 and .n64 version of the backup rom and both produced the same issue. Upon checking the audio API in the Settings menu, it lists SDL as the only option if that is of any use or help. I am on Android 15.

I am also experiencing this issue but I found something that might be useful for the investigation.

My device is a Samsung S25 Ultra on Android 15, I am using 2 Ship 1.1.1. If I boot the game up without my bluetooth headphones, just using my phone's speaker, the audio will not work. Just some occasional popping noises but mostly no noise.

However, it I turn on my bluetooth headset, the audio will work though my headset with no issues.

The issue ONLY happens when using the phone's speakers and only 2 ship exhibits this behavior.

I have a 2nd device which is a Samsung Note 20 Ultra on Android 13 using 2 Ship 1.1.1 and this audio issue does NOT happen there.

UPDATE: I can confirm that the audio issue has been resolved from the latest patches from June. This was checked on my same android device. I would recommend other users that had faced this issue to uninstall (if haven't done so already) and download/install latest .APK file. Thank you dev(s) for looking into this!
