6 new piece sets for both Shogi and Chu Shogi

I have some currently unused SVGs for Shogi and Chu Shogi that I think would make wonderful additions to the site.

All SVGs have been standardized to a size of 120x120 pixels and are in the public domain. The only requirement for using them is that you give me credit for making them.

For Kyoto Shogi the Shogi sets can be used for the non-kanji pieces, and for the Kanji ones all that is needed is to add a copy of the Tokin with black strokes instead of red.

Everything looks good like this? A lot of renaming - to use with the format we have, so hopefully I didn't swap any pieces. Also what about names? Alfaerie, Greenwade, Mnemonic is clear, but what about the others? For now I call them "Print 1 kanji", "Print 2 kanji", "Print Czech", but I can call them anything you want ("amdewitt 1 kanji", ..., maybe?).

Everything you showed me looks good. There was no preview of the Mnemonic and Czech Chu Shogi sets though. I would like to see those too.

However, I made a mistake with the Alfaerie Chu Shogi Set. It's White Horse is identical to the Shogi Alfaerie set's Knight, and is only distinguishable via its color. Thankfully I was able to make new versions of these pieces, which are attached below. Please use these in the final Alfaerie set.

Also what about names? Alfaerie, Greenwade, Mnemonic is clear, but what about the others?

For the Kanji pieces, call them DeWitt 1-Kanji, DeWitt 2-Kanji, and DeWitt Czech.

We already have a very similar mnemonic set for chushogi, I don't remember where I got it, but I could look, so I decided to skip it.

I renamed all accordingly.

Everything looks good so far. Now there is no chance someone will confuse the Knight and White Horse.

However, the kanji sets for both Shogi and Chu Shogi as well as the mnemonic Shogi set use flipped versions of certain images when the board is flipped. I would like to check those as well so we don't have to do any corrections to them later.

That is correct. The darker pieces always go to Sente, since Sente is often called Black in English, and vice versa for Gote/White.

The flipped Kanji set you showed me looks good.

These pieces were designed specifically for Shogi and Chu Shogi. I'm sure the guys responsible for the Alfaerie and Greenwade sets wouldn't mind having those Chess pieces added to Lichess, but no one made such a suggestion. I could make Mnemonic images for the Chess set, but I would struggle with the Pawns because of their complex moves.

The kanji sets were made with Tinkercad and designed around being able to easily make Kanji pieces for Shogi variants while maintaining decent quality. The simplistic color scheme was chosen to speed up the coloring process. The 8-bit Pixel Alt set is similar in quality to the Kanji sets, though the coloring is a bit better with that one.
