        SWE Science
      </h2>

        <h6><i>This Fall 2021 semester, all SWE Science events will resume in-person activities and will be held on UC Berkeley campus while health regulation guidelines permit.</i></h6>
        <br>
        <h6>SWE Science Saturdays and SWE Science Scholars are programs that teach engineering ideas and principles to 4th and 5th grade students and 6th - 8th grade students, respectively. The students will be able to complete various hands-on activities using their creativity and knowledge. Some examples of previous activities include creating catapults and building “earthquake-proof” structures out of classroom materials such as popsicle sticks, rubber bands, straws, and chopsticks.</h6>

        <h6>Please save the dates! The program will be hosted <span class="purple-bold">on 9/18, 10/09, 11/06 and 12/04</span> from <span class="purple-bold">Saturdays 10AM - 12PM.</span><br>All activities will be made out of common household items.</h6>

        <div style="color: #551A8B; font-weight: bold"> What is SWE Science?</div>
        SWE Science is a hands-on engineering program held from 10AM to 12:00PM on Saturday mornings. During these sessions, students will engage in engineering challenges designed to allow students to not only practice foundational STEM principles but also to develop their intellectual curiosities and creativity. Previous activities have included cardboard vehicles, flotation devices, and plastic parachutes.

        SWE Science is divided into two sections: SWE Science Saturdays for 4th-5th grade and SWE Science Scholars for 6th-8th grade students. We welcome students of all genders and backgrounds to attend.
