Tags in Sonarr used to tag particular show to a particular rule

Hi , have as suggestion / upgrade
Currently when we add Episeerr_default tag to any show while adding it to sonarr , it automatically assigns the show to default Rule thats the only option available right now as per my understanding of the docs ( thanks for the docs).

Is it possible to make multiple tags to tag a show to a particular rule based on tags in sonarr and no need to manually tag in episeerr.
Example : Show abc is added in sonarr , i added a tag Episeerr_cool tag to it sonarr , now that Episeerr_cool tag is linked to Rule number 2 so that Show which is added follows the Rule 2 in episeerr

Similarly show xyz is added to sonarr , i add a tag Episeerr_great tag to it in sonarr , now that Episeerr_great tag is linked to Rule number 3 so that show and show follows Rule 2 .

Tags would make it much easier, instead of navigating to the show in episeerr webui and adding tags manually to assign different rules.

I've considered this in the past, the best way would be to make it so when a rule is created the a tag is also added with that same name in episeer. Then that tag would be available to be used when adding a series. But is just on new should. You'd still use the UI If you wanted to move that show to another rule. That's one reason tags aren't sticky.

But currently only 1 tag is available and to use other rules we have to go through the whole list of shows and assign them rules manually, availability of various tags would make it so easy , please consider my suggestion in future upgrades.

Ok dude try episeerr:test I will do the changelog later but you will see your search feature. No renaming rules, it's a domino effect esp using tags now. Just create a new rule with new name. Now you will see for every rule you will now have a tag in sonarr episeerr_yourulename etc. If you change a show to a new rule it's tag will change as well. If you manually change a tag in sonarr then episeer will map it to the corresponding rule.

Requests:1) ability to edit & rename the rules ( i had given rules a long name so the tags also have long names i want to edit them and make short).
2) A small box in which we can write description about the rule

I just tried the new tags feature but there is something lacking which is when an already / previously added show which didnt have any tag , if i give it a tag in sonarr which is created by episeerr than that show doesnt get that rule in episeerr which the tag is attached to . Basically the previously added shows are not linking to the rules in episeerr if we manually add tags to them in sonarr , works good if we give tags to the new shows while adding them fresh to sonarr.

Your asking for the opposite of what I created this for, to not work from sonarr to episeer but vice versa. I rarely need to go into sonarr. However be patient Dr. I am working on it and for every change their are domino effects. There will it be an edit rule name after a rule is created. Maybe a description though. As for syncingbi am working one it but it would not be real time sonarr to episeer because tag changes are not in webhooks. It will sync at startup,.during cleanup runs and when you select clean_config in UI. As for shows in sonarr that don't have a rule/episeer_tag I suggest using the AI but if you insist on adding tags manually in sonarr then it won't be real time sync. 2.9.5 has a few dominos I'm working on right now

Yes , actually i don’t visit the sonarr webui , i use nzb360 so when adding the show in it if i select the tag .. episeerr should handle the rest .. it makes it easy automation.

Yes that's a great app and part of the inspiration for me. Yes all tags will now show there. I'm just saying if you change a tag in sonarr it won't immediately update episeer config

May be a webhook should get triggered when a tag is added to the show in sonarr/nzb360 my case and that should immediately attach the show to the rule linked to that particular tag , it sounds awesome.

Webhooks don't have that ability. 2.9.6 should be good at keeping rules and tags synced should be out this afternoon. Do you like the search field?

Tried v2.9.6 it shows jellyfin not configured but the webhook is configured in jellyfin is there any other configuration to be done ?

Also another problem is that , consider a show ABC already in my library i added long time back before episeerr was invented now i decide to watch it again and i want episeerr to manage the episode, so i went to sonarr/webui or nzb360 in my case and i manually add a tag to that old show now the rule associated with that tag in sonarr doesn’t get applied to the show immediately ( webhook based) neither during the progress (Watch webhooks - When you watch an episode as per docs ) when im watching that show .

Because this isnt happening i have to visit episeerr webui and manually assign the rule everytime i want to tag a old show/ already added show.
