[Bug] My fork of interstellar doesn't show Navbar after updating, alert shows up after the page fully loads #991

Describe the bug
On both of my byod links, the navbar is blank and the alert that tells you to allow popups appears after the page loads

Expected behavior
Navbar should show, and alert should appear before the page fully loads

Device Information (please complete the following information):

Device: Chromebook
OS ChromeOS
Browser Chrome

This occurred only on Chrome, other browsers show the navbar completely fine
