Error when adding mod_coursework instance to course on Moodle 3.5.9

When adding an instance of mod_coursework version 2018060406 within a course on Moodle 3.5.9, the following error is encountered with debugging on:

Warning: mysqli::real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /var/www/html/MOODLE_35_STABLE/lib/dml/mysqli_native_moodle_database.php on line 1112

The activity does still get added and no debugging errors are present when viewing the activity itself, but not sure whether or not this will affect functionality so I'm submitting this bug.

Just noting that this error does still appear to be present using the latest release from the Moodle_36 branch commitid 9f67fbc on both Moodle 3.7 and 3.9
