Feature description

It would be nice if there was an option to sort search requests by date, etc.

Why do you want this feature?

For me, this is a very essential feature. I frequently search for certain topics to see the latest videos related to these topics. So for each search made, there should be a way to select the sorting order.

Let's say this is a subset of #2551 (just the sorting aspect, not the filters aspect). From a user's perspective, I don't see how filters would be related to this.

In any case, I think that sorting would be a higher priority than filters, although this might be subjective.

@probonopd Well if it's a subset of #2251, it means that that issue fully encapsulates this issue, which means this issue is not needed.

If #2251 is solved, then this issue is solved. That issue goes into detail about design and implementation of sorting and filtering, and also there is an open PR TeamNewPipe/NewPipeExtractor#904 that's been open for a long time, but once complete will have done a significant portion of the work for implementing the sorting this issue requests (the UI side being the other half).

With that being said, I'll be closing this as a duplicate. Please feel free to read #2251 and related issues to get up to date on the current state of progress on search filters (sorting is also a search filter).
